Artis is the child of Ron Artis and mother Victoria. His dad was a Motown meeting player who played consoles on Michael Jackson's "Spine chiller." His mom too was likewise an individual from the Motown family, visiting as a vocalist with Lena Horne, and numerous other Motown greats. He has 10 kin.
During his tryout on the voice, Artis had a four-seat abandon the mentors after he sang "Blackbird" by The Beatles. The appointed authorities were overwhelmed by his presentation.
"That is the thing that this show is about. Unimaginable. Your vocal control was simply great and I need you in my group." Coach Nick Jonas said.
Kelly was dazzled and she revealed to him they would have been his team promoters. "There's nothing that anybody here will accomplish for you that, vocally, God hasn't just skilled you with normally… we're simply going to be your team promoters, helping you explore the opposition."
Mentor John Legend alluded to his tone as enchanted; " "I am famously miserly about pivoting for anyone, however when I do turn, I for the most part pivot quick since I can hear in somebody's tone that enchantment, and Thunderstorm, your tone was otherworldly."
Mentor Blake comments were; "Congrats on being incredibly capable."
