Stylish, classy, born with a silver spoon, she's someone who loves to flaunt not just her clothes and bags, but also her riches. Extremely photogenic, Alia makes a super-confident debut." Anupama Chopra of Hindustan Times also mentioned the similarities with Kapoor's character, but noted that her performance was "without the killer attitude." Student of the Year was a financial success, grossing ₹700 million (US$10 million) domestically.
In 2014, Bhatt had three film releases. She played the protagonist of Imtiaz Ali's road film Highway opposite Randeep Hooda. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania also proved to be a box office hit. Later that year, Bhatt appeared in a short film on women's safety, entitled Going Home, from director Vikas Bahl.
In 2015, Bhatt acted in Vikas Bahl's romantic comedy, Shaandaar, opposite Shahid Kapoor. The film was set around a destination wedding in which she played the role of an insomniac. nexGTV Talent Discovery Tool

Mobile content aggregator nexGTV on Monday announced a “talent discovery platform” ‘SPOTlight,’ in partnership with filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, where users can upload their original videos and earn money per view.
“Very few people are now going to be able to complain that we did not get the chance to show talent,” said Imtiaz Ali while introducing the “endeavour” that uses the “fast-moving digital space” to give talented people the “accessibility that TV cannot”.
The platform will also present a cash award to the user who creates the best video every month.
“The cash prize is meant as an incentive to encourage aspiring video content creators to channel their creativity and further innovate,” said nexGTV COO Abhesh Verma.

How it works

– Users have to upload original music, fiction and reality (vox pop, social experiments, etc) videos to SPOTlight, which will subsequently be screened for violence, vulgarity, obscenity, etc. and other terms and conditions. These can be a maximum of 7 minutes and need to be exclusive to nexGTV.
– Approved videos will subsequently be published on nexGTV app, with the catch being that the uploader will start earning money only after 3000 views.
– Five of the most viewed videos each month will be screened by Imtiaz and his choice for the best one will be awarded Rs 1 lakh.

Can it work?

YouTube is at present the largest platform for user-generated videos, with at least one billion active users a month. And, though NexGTV boasts of 25 million downloads, it looks poised for a struggle.
The exclusivity clause will be one of its greatest hindrances, considering YouTube will always find users a greater audience. Furthermore, for an average user, getting 3,000 views is a struggle even on YouTube, so getting these on SPOTlight looks difficult for now.
NexGTV is marketing itself as a platform that allows users to monetise their videos. But it is not the only monetization possibility as one can do so on YouTube and other platforms like DailyMotion. The only thing that stands out here is that NexGTV claims there will not be any advertisements accompanying videos on SPOTlight.

Bigg Boss 9 Contestant Aman Verma Engaged to Vandana Lalwani

It seems Aman Verma's stint on Bigg Boss 9 gave him ample time to decide that it was about time he took the plunge. The actor has apparently got engaged to his girlfriend Vandana Lalwani on December 14.

Vandana is also a TV actress who has featured in Bitto, Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des, Buddha and Savdhaan India. Reports suggest that the couple plans to wed in a low-key ceremony soon, followed by a grand reception in Mumbai.
Aman who was last seen on the celebrity reality show Bigg Boss, never mentioned Vandana during his stay in the Bigg Boss 9 house. The audience came to know about his girlfriend when he broke down after receiving gifts from her.
Aman is a fiercely private person, and although he's been involved in certain controversies, he wasn't really linked to any colleague, and neither has his personal life found its way into gossip magazines. The only time he brought up his love life was on Bigg Boss when he told fellow contestants Rochelle Rao and Mandana Karimi that he felt not marrying his first girlfriend in Mumbai was a mistake. He further added that had he married her, his life would have been different.
Aman's six-week stint on the show was much appreciated by the audience. His calm and sensible nature was appreciated by host Salman Khan who made it a point to praise his calm disposition and looked as shocked as Aman when the latter's elimination was announced.
